For an unbeatable view of Bath’s skyline, head to Alexandra Park, my favourite park in the city. Perched on a hill above the city, this spot offers breathtaking panoramic shots, especially at sunrise or sunset. It’s the perfect place to capture Bath’s honey coloured stone buildings glowing in the golden light.
3. Bathwick Meadow – Rolling Hills and Skyline Views
If you love capturing natural landscapes, Bathwick Meadows is the place to go. This peaceful spot offers sweeping views of Bath’s skyline, rolling green fields, and grazing cows. It’s a fantastic location for sunset photography, especially in the spring and summer months. Summer is definitely my favourite time to spend here. Nothing beats a hazy summer afternoon here with a picnic and good company. This location is also part of the Bath Skyline walk.
4. The Royal Crescent – A Georgian Masterpiece
One of Bath’s most famous landmarks, the Royal Crescent, is a must-shoot location. It had to be on the list. This perfectly curved row of Georgian townhouses provides a grand and symmetrical backdrop. I find the best time to capture it is in the morning and late afternoon light, which helps highlight the intricate details.
5. Pulteney Bridge & Weir – A Classic Bath View
Pulteney Bridge, with its rows of shops and stunning weir below, is one of the most photogenic spots in Bath. Whether you capture it from the bridge itself, the side of the weir, or Parade Gardens, you’ll get a timeless shot that showcases Bath’s charm. Honestly anytime is a good time to capture this area of the city.

The Circus, a circular street of grand Georgian townhouses, offers an architectural photographer’s dream. The symmetry, historic details, and inner circle of Plane trees create an elegant composition in any season.
